IFF Panama Channel via Copa Airlines promotes Latin American Cinema

Wednesday, September 25, 2019
Since January 2018, more than 300 thousand spectators have clicked on the films programmed by IFF Panama on Copa Airlines flights.

Thanks to the IFF Panama Channel, travelers who annually visit any of the 75 destinations in the 31 countries to which Copa Airlines flies can enjoy the best programming of Latin American films that have been most successful at the Festival.
“And this can only grow, because more and more Copa airplanes have personal entertainment devices on board, so it is a huge window to share the cinema in our language. That cinema that tells us, that tells our stories,” continued Pituka Ortega.
The IFF Panama Foundation, through the Panama International Film Festival, has had the main objective of bringing culture through the seventh art, promoting Latin American cinema, beyond the week of the film festival. In that sense, progress is made every year in the commitment to regional cinema, Latin American cinema and cinema throughout Latin America.
Various stories both in themes and genres, IFF Panama has selected films from all the countries of the region, to create a mosaic of realities that tell us about ourselves. A cinema in which we can see ourselves reflected, not only in the language, but in the stories, the colors, the flavors of our peoples so rich and so diverse in their culture.
The next releases that will be available from October to December 2019 are The Flower of Life, by the directors Claudia Abend and Adriana Loeff; Ché, Memoirs of a Secret Year by Margarita Hernández and, Sergio and Sergei, by Ernesto Daranas.
The three films have had a successful tour of international film festivals around the world, and as they passed through Panama they were the favorite titles.
