Enriqueta (Ketty) Zafra is Associate Professor at the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Ryerson University. Her research interest includes Spanish Culture and Literature of the 16th and 17th in which she has published extensively. Zafra’s love for film and language has brought her to the area of audiovisual translation. In this area, she has taught the courses, “Translating the Screen: Audiovisual Translation of Contemporary Spanish Film” and “Advance Spanish and Translation.” Since 2012, professor Zafra has also organized annual talks with internationally-renown Hispanic directors at her home university.
