Sprinter

Synopsis: 
Akeem, a 17 year-old track-and-field athlete, struggles to live his life despite his dysfunctional family background. With both of his parents absent, his goal is to qualify for the national youth team and go to the World Youth Championships in Philadelphia, to reunite with his mother who’s been living there illegally for 10 years.

Storm Saulter

Storm Saulter was born in Jamaica. A photographer, writer and director, he is the co-founder of the New Caribbean Cinema Collective, a pioneering effort to showcase the next generation of Caribbean auteurs using low budget communal filmmaking tactics. His photography has been published in the Rolling Stone, the FADER, and Billboard magazine. His filmography includes Better Mus Come (2010), and Sprinter (2018).
