Loveling

Synopsis: 
Irene and her husband live in a small town on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro with their four children. Her eldest son, Fernando, is a talented handball player who gets invited to play for a professional team in Germany. Surprised by the sudden turn of events, the family must make a quick decision about Fernando’s departure. Irene must get used to the idea of living without her beloved child.

Gustavo Pizzi

Gustavo Pizzi was born in Brazil. He is a screenwriter, director and producer. He studied film at Universidade Federal Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro. His filmography includes the documentary Pretérito Perfeito (2006), about Rio de Janeiro’s most famous brothels; and Riscado (2011), awarded Best Screenplay at Gramado Film Festival. Loveling (2018) is his latest feature.
