Synopsis: 
It’s the summer in the early eighties, and the underground rock scene is boiling in Leningrad. Amongst the followers of Led Zeppelin and Bowie, young Viktor Tsoi is eager to make a name for himself. The encounter with his idol Mike and his beautiful wife Natasha will change his life forever. Together they will build Viktor’s legend and change the destiny of rock’n’roll in the Soviet Union.

Kirill Serebrennikov

Kirill Serebrennikov was born in Russia. He is a theater and film director. His plays include Plasticine by Vassily Sigarev, Some Explicit Polaroids by Mark Ravenhill, and Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra. He has also directed many operas, in particular with the Bolshoi Opera in Moscow, and the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg. His filmography includes Betrayal (2012), and The Student (2016), awarded the François Chalais Prize at Cannes. Leto (2018) is his latest feature.
