Fly away

Synopsis: 
Jeanne is a single mother. Her daughter, Mandy, is a teenager with severe Autism. As Mandy matures, her disability becomes harder to manage. When Jeanne meets Tom, a charming neighbor, sparks fly, causing Jeanne to reckon with her circumstances. What will sustain her child, and herself, into the future? Mandy, meanwhile, has her own ideas, forcing Jeanne to confront what every parent must eventually face; to let go.

Janet Grillo was born in The United States. She is a filmmaker and producer, former executive at New Line Cinema, where she worked for 10 years. She holds an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she is a full time Arts Professor. Her filmography includes Autism: The Musical (2007), winner of the Primetime Emmy Award; Jack Of The Red Hearts (2015) and Fly Away (2011).
