Synopsis: 
Zain is a 12-year-old boy who survives through his wits on the streets of a god-forsaken city. After being jailed for a crime, Zain sues his parents for giving him his life.

Nadine Labaki

Nadine Labaki was born in Lebanon. She obtained a degree in Audiovisual Studies from Beirut’s Saint-Joseph University. She began her career directing television commercials and music videos. Her filmography includes Caramel (2007), which she also starred in and was awarded the Youth Jury Prize at Cannes; Where Do We Go Now (2011); and Rio, I Love You (2014). Capernaum (2018) is her latest feature.
