Abe

Synopsis: 
Abe is a 12 year-old kid from Brooklyn. The son of an Israeli mother and Palestinian father, his parents have raised him in a secular household, although both sets of grandparents insist he chooses between being Jewish or Muslim. A passionate cook, he plans a special dinner to celebrate his diverse heritage with the hope of unifying his family.

Fernando Grostein Andrade

Fernando Grostein Andrade was born in Brazil. He is an LGBTQ activist and YouTuber, and writes for newspapers and magazines. His works include the documentaries Coração Vagabundo (2008); and Quebrando o Tabu (2011), about the legalization of drugs, the film launched a substantial online human-rights platform and TV series. Abe (2018) is his latest feature.
