IFF Panamá invites the public to experience great cinema through its Eighth Edition, taking place from April 4-10, 2019.
IFF Panama Tickets are non-refundable. Please, before you buy verify you get the correct screening time for your favorite(s) movie(s).

Points of Sale
For those who prefer to purchase their tickets physically, or to secure retiree or student discounts, you can do so at La Prensa main office at Avenida 12 de Octubre from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. TusTiquetes.com will have a ticket booth available right outside Cinépolis Multiplaza, by the foodcourt. The booth will open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.. With these new service hours we hope that retirees, students or customers who would rather purchase their tickets with cash find an accesible option to buy their tickets to enjoy IFF Panama. Once the Festival begins, We'll also have ticketing services available at our other venues, Teatro Balboa (April 4) and Salón Ricardo J. Alfaro (April 5). The booths will open one hour before the first scheduled film at each venue.
Mastercard cardholders receive a special discount for regular functions of 20% for purchases made with their credit or debit cards.
Screenings with Special Guests
In many screenings, we will have a Questions and Answers (Q&A) sessions with the directors, producers or artists of the films. These showings are marked by a special icon on our programming schedule.
Access Plus Passports provides maximum flexibility and immediate access
For those who need flexibility to choose their movies on a same day basis, IFF Panama designed the Access Plus Passport. With this exclusive package, you are entitled to 12 transferable tickets for any regular screening. You will only have to arrive 20 minutes before the show.. The Access Plus Passport will also provide you access to the "fastline", giving the movie-gower the chance to be among the first people to choose their seat as well as priority access to the screening room.
Ticket Plans return
In addition, ticket plans return for people who wish to attend various screenings—etickets for B/.40.00 and 12 tickets for B/.55.00. Additional discounts do not apply.
Venues and individual ticket prices
This year’s venues are: Cinépolis Multiplaza, Balboa Theater and the Ricardo J. Alfaro Hall at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Regular tickets will have a price of B/.6.00 for regular performances at the Balboa Theater and Cinépolis Multiplaza. The opening and closing galas will have a price of B/.30.00, and will be on sale at TusTiquetes.com. These prices do not include taxes or service charges. Tickets can also be purchased at the La Prensa Corporation lobby from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the ticket offices at the Balboa Theater, Cinépolis Multiplaza, and the Ricardo J. Alfaro MIRE Hall (schedule subject to programming) and in the Center of Industry and Press in the Central Hotel once the Festival has started.
IFF Panama offers Special Discounts
In addition to the special Mastercard discount, IFF Panama also offers a 10% discount for members of the La Prensa Club de Suscriptores. IFF Panama in turn offers a discount to students of 20% when presenting their valid student ID. This discount can be claimed in the physical box of TusTiquetes.com. For retirees and people with disabilities (Senadis) IFF Panama honors the discount, which may be requested in the physical boxes of the selling points.
These discounts do not apply with other discounts or promotions.
Students and retirees have free access to films at Teatro Balboa Monday-Friday 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - student and retiree I.D. Required.
Our ticket schedule includes all free outdoor screenings at Cinta Costera II - Mirador del Pacífico - on Friday, April 5; Saturday, April 6; and Sunday, April 7.
Other free outdoor screenings are: Friday, April 5, 7:00 p.m., at the Parque Los Libertadores in La Chorrera the film El ángel del reloj, Mexico. Saturday, April 6, 7:00 p.m. at the Parque Los Guayacanes in Betania, El ángel del reloj; and on Sunday, April 7, 7:00 p.m., at Movimiento Nueva Generación in Barraza, the film Inventing Tomorrow. This is part of the educational program and these screenings are sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Panama and other sponsors.
Rush Line (last minute line) will be active during all screenings
If the projection you wish to attend is sold to capacity, you can introduce yourself to the "Rush Line”. If there are seats available before the movie begins, you will be able to buy a ticket.
